Skiing Trophies
Ski and Snowboarding disciplines require speed, technicality, physicality
For the skier who likes the exhilaration of speed, Downhill is the longest and fastest with the fastest skier reaching a speed of 254km/hr. Crazy right! The Super-G combines downhill and giant slalom with a mandatory 30 technical changes in direction. Cross Country has sprint and distance competitions. It is cardiovascularly challenging and requires peak physical condition. Mogul skiing is a course full of bumps, jumps, banks and ridges. Then there’s aerial skiing where skiers perform aerial acrobatics at least 15 metres in the air after launching off large jumps. Slopestyle sees more technical aspects as skiers and snowboarders negotiate rails and jumps and perform tricks such as spins, flips, grinds and grabs. Similarly, athletes ride the half-pipe and perform flips and spins with points awarded for height, manoeuvres, style and landing. Need help with your trophy artwork?
